I hesitantly bought this book because of the Spiritual content. Many Christian writers do little actual research they are prone to believe that no one will know the difference. I hate reading a book of any genre that isn’t well researched, plotted, have believable characters meaning women who can’t make a decision or move a muscle without the stereotypical male to guide them! I was raised by strong women who were married or widowed. I know women to be very capable!!!!
I loved the way the author mixed fact with the fiction needed for this book. One of the truly fine action adventure books I’ve read in some time & the spirituality figured in quite logically. All together a very good plot! The characters were so believable their motives & actions were within realistic terms.
I really was surprised at the gifted way the author started the book instead of bogging down in details, which is how almost every other historical book I’ve ever read has begun causing me to skip whole chapters, he chose to begin with a prologue then go forward, yet it was just enough of a beginning to whet my appetite for more of the book.
I usually give more then three stars just because of the effort required to write any book. However this action adventure well deserves the five stars I’ve given it.
