A few times a year, the King Tides come to La Jolla.  Just north of the Scripps Pier is an outcropping of lava rocks that are usually under water.  However, when the tide goes out, the tide pools form.  They are filled with starfish and sometimes octopus.  The lighting today was perfect and I took a bunch of photos.
